The controller as a solar street light should have the following basic functions: charging the battery in an optimal late state, automatically turning the street light or load on and off, and having overload protection, short circuit protection, reverse discharge protection, and polarity reversal. Connection protection, lightning protection, undervoltage protection, overcharge protection, load on recovery settings.
At the same time, the solar controller should also pay attention to:
1, the controller power consumption should be as low as possible, the controller is working 24 hours a day, if its own power consumption is large, it will consume a part of the power, preferably the power consumption of the controller is below 3 mA;
2, the controller's charging efficiency is high, with a strong charge, balanced charge and float charge three-stage charge control mode controller, using MCU intelligent control, through the internal can always charge the battery with maximum power, especially in winter or light Insufficient period, the charging mode using MCU intelligent control is about 20% higher than the non-MCU intelligent controller;
3, the controller must have high-precision control, high-precision is the comprehensive embodiment of product design, is also an excellent embodiment of the material selection, but also the embodiment of the production process, non-high-precision control of the solar street light controller often because the product design is not Reasonable, poor material selection, etc., resulting in high repair rate and poor reliability;
4, the controller can be controlled by two separate channels, which is convenient for the power adjustment of the whole street lamp. It can automatically turn off one or two channels of illumination during the night when the pedestrian is sparse, to save power, and can also adjust the power for the LED light source. In addition to the above power saving function, when setting the undervoltage protection value of the controller, try to adjust the undervoltage protection value to 10.8V to prevent the battery from being over-discharged.
